Thoughts and prayers to Staff Sgt Henry DeJean and his family over the untimely loss of 7 year old daughter, Paige DeJean. She was shot by a stray bullet while sleeping early Sunday morning as she slept on an air mattress in the living room of her home in the Mark Twain II apartment complex 10950 Jefferson Highway. SGT DeJean was informed while serving overseas for the Louisiana National Guard. He is also a police officer with the Hammond Police Department. Callers to Crimestoppers do not have to give their names or testify to earn up to $2,500 for tips that lead to an indictment. Tipsters may earn an additional $1,000 for any information that leads to the recovery of the gun used in the shooting
