The Army Accessions Commanders are in New Orleans for a conference this week. I was honored to be invited to speak to them on a social media panel this Thursday. Last night, I had the pleasure of dining with them at the WWII Museum’s Stage Door Canteen with John Besh’s American Sector food. Troops feeding the troops comes to mind. For those of you who do not know, John Besh is a former Marine. Anyhoo….at my table was: COL Glenn Richie, CSM Donnel Daniels, COL Leo Impavido, and SGM Julio Baez. We had a great time. General Freakley had a great speech and introduced me along with some other invited guests and we had a great dinner. We had a great time and I made the mistake mentioning the bad recruiting story I had form 2009 while trying to get into the Army Reserves as a direct commission PAO. D’oh these guys were responsible for my region. COL Richie felt really bad and in my famous style…I gave him some grief but of course was just joking. It was not meant to be and that was fine and I’ve aged out now. Then he told me he could give me a waiver – OMG….. Food for thought….. I look forward to speaking on a panel discussion for them tomorrow regarding what else…Social Media! Co-owning Yatmedia is the best!
