You may not know the family of LTC Keith Higley and Cat, and neither do I. However, through a local military connection, I was asked to help this grieving military family from out of state, gain some closure in the New Orleans hit and run death of their son, Zach Higley on July 4, 2014. The Higley family is looking for some answers and I am using my online platforms to hopefully help them gain some traction, so someone out there calls Crime Stoppers regarding his death 504-822-1111.

His mother, Cat, posted the picture below on her Facebook page.

It says: This is my son, Zachariah Higley. On July 24, 2014, he was walking home from work in the French Quarter of New Orleans. He was struck by a hit and run driver while crossing North Claiborne and Orleans Avenues around 12:40 am and pronounced dead at the hospital at 6:07 am. He died alone, without family or friends by his side. I will never get to hug or tell my son “I love you” again. I want justice for Zach. If there is anyone out there that has any information regarding what happened, I beg you as a mom to come forward. Please call Crime Stoppers: 504-822-1111.

According to NOLA.com: In the early morning hours of July 4, the 28-year-old cook was walking from his job at a Bourbon Street burger and sports bar to his Treme apartment when a dark-colored vehicle struck him as he crossed the intersection of North Claiborne and Orleans avenues, according to New Orleans police and his father, Lt. Col. Keith Higley.

Please put this family in your thoughts and prayers.
