6I really did my best to stay away from the computer the past few days. OMG – it was soooo hard (we had free internet at our hotel & I have the iPhone with constant internet connection – I cheated a little). So you didn’t realize I was on vacation (bet you missed me though)? We went on the perfect mini-vacation to the Grand Hotel Marriott just outside of Mobile, AL. With their wonderful military rates, we were able to afford 2 adjoining rooms that were cheaper than a single room. Woot woot !!! This place is sooooo family friendly. Next time I’ll bring all the sporting goods and leave all the dressy clothes at home – d’oh! We are soooo going back when the kids can use the outdoor pool without being dared to do so!!!

Though about maxed out on “quality family time,” I have to say that I am very thankful for getting it this year. When hubby was active duty, having Thanksgiving without him was not uncommon. While I take the kids to see Madagascar on Thanksgiving Day, the one without the cooking disability (hubby), will be cooking our meal. Yay for me not having to cook and thanks to The French Market for frying our turkey.

Gosh – there is so much to be thankful for and even though it is normal to piss and moan occasionally about life (everyone does – even the Princess of Positive), life is wonderful! From my house to yours, wishing you a wonderful holiday with your loved ones. And for those men and women serving overseas this year and the family members that will be without you – extra wishes.
