* Commander’s Palace: Well almost 3 years here and my husband is finally out of the Commander’s doghouse! Actually, he got off easy as his work treated us. We dined downstairs in the main dining room for the first seating. This meant we were greeted by no less than 20 staff as we entered. It was a wonderful experience – first class all the way. I had shrimp and mirliton soup, blackened trout and bread pudding souffle’ (but also tried the creme brule and gingerbread cobbler). A couple of French 75s too:)The service was 5 star as expected and the food was out of this world!

* Carmine’s Italian and Seafood in Metairie: This is Sir JJ’s favorite restaurant – he even has is own table. Lisa runs this family owned business and she is a doll and will treat you as family. As a matter of fact, the entire staff is fabulous and I promise once you go – you will go back! The eggplant and artichoke appetizers are to die for!!! Sir JJ’s picture is on the wall and if you look closely you will also see a picture of the both of us up there.

* Greater New Orleans Republicans: I went to my first event with them last night. I love this blend of people and will certainly join!

* Tales of the Toddy: Any event run by Ann Tuennerman and the Tales of the Cocktail crew is first class. I look forward to this event tonight! Book your tickets for Tales of the Cocktail 2010 now!!!
