Parish Govt. cannot get a millage passed so they get the assessor to double or in some cases triple your property taxes. They continue to get away with this stuff.
I had my property appraised 5 years ago for 66,000, bought it for that price 3 years ago, St. Tammany (using the same appraiser) now valued it at over 220,000. My homeowners insurance will only give me 63,000 in coverage. WTH. Cant wait to see my new mortgage. In a time where so many people are losing their homes, how can they do this to us now. I guess times are tough for all of us and the people in power will make damn sure it’s no so hard on them.
