tumblr_lwh2jo4sfA1qfl95oo1_500We had a crazy summer, driving over 2500 miles for my son to visit colleges on his list. The third school he visited was Ole Miss (University of Mississippi). We then went on to visit many more and this school consistently stayed at the top of the list! He was sucked in by just about everything there, but most of all, their Public Policy program. I am convinced logistics had nothing to do with it, just the fact that he fell in love with the school. I was fine with him going far away, but Mom is even happier that he will only be 5 hours from home. Now to convince hubby to get an RV so we can go up there and tailgate. To get the real college experience, I do not expect him to come home other than holidays. But visiting will sure be a breeze and fun!

Things he liked: size of school, the campus is compact (15 min walk max), traditions, diversity, liberal arts, dorms, campus life, Fraternities on campus, his area of study, they have good sports, pretty girls and the fact that they have a Quidditch team!

Left to do: finish the application for the school & program (he is accepted by his ACT), start applying for scholarships and deal with the rest of the senior year chaos!

Hotty Toddy: “Are you ready?”
The crowd responds:

Hell yes!
Damn Right!
Hotty Toddy, Gosh almighty
Who the hell are we?
Hey!
Flim Flam, Bim Bam
Ole Miss, By Damn!
